History of the club.

The club was formed in December 1999, by Simon Moran, Mike Hansen, and Sam Castelli. Originally named the XR and Tickford owners club of NSW.

In November 2000, the club had grown to about 20 members, and at the request of Tickford Vehicle Engineering, the name of the club was changed to "Tickford Owners Club of NSW"

We affiliated with CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motorsports) in April 2002 (since relinquished in 2004), and the club was then incorporated in July 2002.

The ACT Branch was formed in June 2002, whilst the club was in the region displaying their cars, as part of the Stegbar 400. ACT had there first meeting in July 2002. Originally with only about 6 members, they had grown to approx 50 members by January 2004. In October 2004 they had grown big enough to become their own club, and formed the FPV & XR Club of ACT.

In January 2003, the club had grown to 180 members, and it was voted to change the name to "FPV-Tickford club of NSW", after the retirement of the Tickford name, and introduction of the FPV name.

In April 2003, the Newcastle sub branch was formed, and currently have over 50 members. In October 2004 the Newcastle branch had grown big enough to become their own club, and formed the FPV & XR Club of Newcastle .

In March 2004, with the help of Club supporters Power Ford, the club membership had risen to 300 members, and is still growing everyweek.
