Letter from The President, February 2017
To all FPV Tickford Club of NSW Members.
So one month down and 11 to go, before you know it………………..
January, while probably the most relaxed month of the year, is usually quiet on the Club social front as well. Well not this year.
McCredies was another great night with another good turnout. Another measure of it’s success is that people are actually staying later in the night as well ! So for February it will be on Tuesday the 7th. Come along ! Ben will send a reminder message a few days in advance
Cars & Doughnuts was also really strong for the month, no surprises there really. Such a popular event that we are happy to support. For February it will be Sunday February 12th.
In January we also had the cruise to the Gosford Car Museum. In total around 20 cars joined in, a cruise from Thornleigh along the Old Pacific Highway followed by the museum, lunch at a local pub, then return on the motorway. The museum was well worth the trip, so many unusual cars beautifully presented. Especially pleasing to do this as it was a popular request brought to us from the survey we did late last year.
The following Sunday the Club supported Craig’s Ford Performance Group in a cruise to Kiama. From all reports another successful event, 39 cars in attendance including 8 from our Club.
So that was January, on to February and beyond
February 4th (and on to 5th for those who decide to) is the cruise and show supporting the Bathurst 12 hour race. Ben Schibeci has done the organising and circulated details, and there are around 11 cars attending. Safe driving guys, I’m sure you will enjoy !
February 11th is a return to Talotta’s Pizzas at Kurnell. Last one was a great afternoon/night and a fun one to go to. Mario & Craig have circulated details today.
Beyond February we have two other events I want to prepare you for.
Sunday March 19 we have our contribution to the 3rd Annual Leukaemia Foundation Charity Cruise. Craig has already circulated details and has had a good response, but please check this out if you haven’t already done so. Any Bathurst cruise is an event in itself, but this one is also supporting a very worthy charity.
The following Saturday, March 25 the Club is supporting another well-deserved charity, Cam’s Day. To be held in Kiama this year, save the date and the Boys will go out with more details closer to the day.
So the events, past and future, are really happening. Apart from your contributions in attendance, if there’s anything else you may want to suggest as a Club event, please let us know so we can schedule it.
On the merchandise front, please let Jackie know if you want to order any of the new Club polo shirts, and we will decide soon if there will be any other merchandise added to the new range.
Keep up to date with Club emails, website www.fpvclub.com and Facebook FPV Tickford Club of NSW, both are being constantly updated with news about upcoming events and photos of past events
Hope to see many of you at one of the upcoming events !
You will now also receive an email with Member of the Month, this month it’s one of our Committee members, Brian Bailey. Enjoy reading
